Our society is beginning to understand that therapy is not only for people with mental health issues, but a lot of people seek treatment to find the support that may be hard to find elsewhere.
Therapy is an excellent tool to manage and look at problems from a different angle. Our friends can give us advice, but often it is not providing us with what we need. In situations we cannot handle by ourselves is where the benefit of seeing a therapist comes in.
The therapist's office has become a place where you can come, learn and understand about yourselves. It is not about receiving advice from someone that doesn’t know you; it is more about learning to see your problems from a different perspective.
