What is NLP?
NLP is the study of how our minds work, how we interact with it and how that results in certain behaviours. This enables us to improve our thinking, reactions and emotions. In other words, we take much greater control of our lives and accomplish much more of what we want.
Neuro-linguistic programming is a pseudoscientific approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, United States, in the 1970s
The guiding principles of NLP
The Presuppositions of NLP:
The ideas, beliefs and attitudes that are taken for granted and acted upon in NLP:
1.People respond to their experience, not reality itself
2.Having a choice is better than not having a choice.
3.People make the best choice they can at the time.
4.People work perfectly.
5.All actions have a purpose.
6.All behaviour has a positive intention.
7.The subconscious mind balances the conscious; it cannot harm you.
8.The meaning of communication is not only what you intend, but also the response you get.
9.We already have all the resources we need or we can create them.
10.Mind and body form a system. They are a different expression of the same person.
11.We process all information through our senses.
12.Modelling successful performance leads to excellence.
13.If you want to understand, act.
