What is Gestalt therapy?
Gestalt therapy is a client-centred approach to psychotherapy that helps clients focus on the present and understand what is happening in their lives right now, rather than what they may perceive to be happening based on experience. Instead of simply talking about past situations, clients are encouraged to experience them, perhaps through re-enactment. Through the gestalt process, clients learn to become more aware of how their negative thought patterns and behaviours are blocking true self-awareness and making them unhappy.
I like the positive approach of gestalt therapy looking at human behaviour as a creative adjustment, rather than sickness and diagnosis. Diagnosis is important to set to know what you are working with; this helps to know what tools to use to support a person’s wellbeing and find a way to manage life in a best possible way.

My background is that I have worked with people in many different ways, in hospital, in a laboratory as a helping nurse and student of medicine. I worked as an editor and journalist of a health magazine for 15 years. I have done many other studies, and I am still studying part-time because I like to learn and I like to keep an open mind to new knowledge that can help me in my work as a gestalt therapist and as a volunteer facilitator for group working with grief and losses of loved ones.
I have worked as a gestalt psychotherapist since 2008, in Norway, USA, Poland and many other European countries, by visit or Skype.
I have developed methods that work well for clients. Skype makes it very easy to speak to me face to face wherever you are in the world.
So what can I offer? I can offer Skype sessions or visit on request, I have experiences working with young and elder, couples and group of people.
